LexisNexis Constitutional Moot Tryouts!

Could any student interested in competing in the LexisNexis Constitutional Moot please contact me as a matter of urgency at competitions2010@uwslsa.com.au. Teams will need to be formed, for the internal try-outs, to ensure fairness of entry.

The try-outs will be held shortly, and will be judged by members of School of Law staff.

I note that registration for the competition closes on 10 September and as such prompt expressions of interest from students are required.

In 2010 the UWSLSA will be running an intra university mooting competition, as well as sending teams to a number of national mooting competitions, including the prestigious ALSA, this year running in Adelaide. ALSA is a week long series of competitions including Negotiation, Client Interviewing, Mooting, and Paper Presentation.

If you are interested in participating, please send an email to our Competitions Director, Aleksandra Ilic, on competitions2010@uwslsa.com.au , and watch this space for updates as the planning for these events progresses.

Open to ALL UWS Law Students, these information seminars will outline the entire Internal Competitions process, including each of the six competitions:

- Negotiation
- Client Interviewing
- Mooting
- International Humanitarian Law Moot
- Witness Examination
- Paper Presentation

Students will have the opportunity to ask questions, collect information and sign up for their competition preferences.
