First Year Students

Welcome to the UWSLSA

The Law School First Year Coordinator, Michelle Sanson, is here to help you make the most of your first year. Throughout the year Michelle will be updating the First Year Law site, which you can find on your vUWS page. Here you will find information about social activities, educational events, and job opportunities. This is also where you’re likely to find second hand textbooks on sale.

One of the first events of the year which will involve you, as new first year students, are the First Year BBQs. One will be held on Parramatta and Campbelltown campus, and these are a great opportunity to meet other first year students, existing LSA members, and of course dedicated Law School staff such as Michelle. Here you will also have the chance to become a financial member of the LSA.

Details of the BBQs will be posted here soon.

If you need help structuring your course, or choosing your subjects, the first place to look is the course handbook. This can be found by searching for your course here. If you need further advice, it is best to contact your Course Advisor, John Juriansz for Parramatta students (j.juriansz@uws.edu.au) or Stephen Janes for Campbelltown students (s.janes@uws.edu.au).
